See and do in Tangier

As long as you want to discover a little more in the daily life of the Tangetans, go to the fishing port. The 5 km Tangier corniche also promises you a pleasant walk. The Mendoubia garden (bellow photo) is a soothing place. Finally, the Great Mosque paces local life.

Take a break in a café to observe the excitement that characterizes Tangier. Then take a detour to the famous bookstore of columns, landmarks of intellectuals and artists.

If you can get away from the city a bit, the cave of Hercules (photo) in particular is a must see. Complete your visit with Cape Spartel by admiring the place where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet.

When to go to Tangier?

The mild climate of Tangier makes it an ideal destination all year round. In the hottest months, between June and August, the thermometer rises to 25 °. It is also the season when Tangier is the most frequented by tourists. To take full advantage of it while being a little more calm, favor the months of April-May and September-October.
